Description
On 10 April 1940, Soviet secret police began the systematic execution of over 22,000 Polish officers, intellectuals, and prisoners of war in the forests of Katyń.
This April, we mark that anniversary together.
RAF Ingham — a site with its own deep Polish wartime history — will host a commemorative evening combining scholarship, cinema, and quiet reflection.
What’s on
The programme opens with a lecture by a historian from the Polish Institute of National Remembrance (IPN), followed by a curated exhibition exploring the events at Katyń through documents, photographs, and personal testimonies.
The evening concludes with a screening of Andrzej Wajda’s acclaimed film Katyń — a work of cinema that is itself an act of remembrance.
VIP guests will be in attendance.
Refreshments will be served.
Tickets
£10 per person — spaces are limited and expected to sell quickly.
